Welcome to the battleground

Starting in fall of 2021, I joined the TitanForge team at Hi-Rez Studios as a mid-level Gameplay Engineer. With Smite operating in live service since 2012, this was a great opportunity to take on the challenges of learning a more matured codebase.

I played a lot of Smite during high school and college, so this doubled as an opportunity to learn more about one of my old favorites.

Become godlike

My favorite portion of the work at Hi-Rez was creating new gods and goddesses. During my employment I aided in the development of Yu Huang, and lead the charge for programming for Maui and Ix Chel. I also contributed to game modes, items, and general maintenance.

Nick Baughman (now Technical Director on Smite) was my manager when I started, and I am very grateful for the lessons he instilled to myself and the rest of the team. Nick taught me the importance of lifting up the whole team through transparency and understanding.
